I still remember my excitement from 2008, when L’Opera first set shop in Khan Market. Artisanal pieces of bread and confections the likes I had not seen before suddenly became more accessible than ever. 'Macarons' that were airy and crusty outside to touch, and melted into a deeply decadent ganache. 'Three-tier Mille Feuille Of Wafer-Thin Puff Pastry And Custard Cream' so smooth that it could be a moisturizer. 'Croissants' with the perfect composition of flaky outer layers and puffy innards with the moist scent of melted butter. L’Opera has gone on to open many outlets across the NCR, but this one at Khan Market is where it all started.
