A blast from the past, Laidback Cafe has so many delicious dishes from the erstwhile Shalom, that it felt absolutely good to be back. 1. The bar and the dining area are separate and have distinctly different vibes. We started our meal with the 'Shalom Spice Ice Tea' and it tasted exactly how we had remembered. Instead, we opted to eat the 'Classic Fish and Chips' as well as the 'Butter Chicken Twin Burgers' and the 'Lamb Tagine' – just to mix things up a little and we were not disappointed. The fish was light and not oily, and the burgers had a good Butter Chicken flavour – which hit the spot. But the 'Tagine' was truly the big hit on our table. All this was washed down with the original 'Shalom Sangria'.
