Surprisingly for a mall restaurant, Kylin Premier is both dramatic and spacious, and the entrance is right by a lift that leads up from the basement, pillar no. C-175. The sushi menu is much more elaborate than usual, with Aburi Sushi – the rarely seen, lightly grilled sushi – making an appearance. Choose the fish preparations over all the other meats, as they are perfectly cooked and expertly seasoned. Sole fillet in Malaysian sambal, miso scallops and coriander fish are dishes to look out for. The Sky Bar on the terrace is accessible from here.

The menu starts with the signature rolls section consisting shiitake mushroom roll, dragon roll, spicy salmon, crunchy tuna roll and crunchy yasai roll. No oriental restaurant is done without sushi so sushi bar presents with lot of options too. Dim sums are an Asian staple. Kylin offers siew mai, veg curry dumplings, kothe, crystal dumplings and shanghai chicken dumplings. Starters have crispy water chestnuts, lettuce wraps, lotus stem honey chilli, prawn tempura, wasabi prawn, sambal chicken and teppanyaki pork belly. Salads and soups are cooked with special Asian ingredients. Teppanyaki section has salmon teriyaki, sweet potato in mustard soya sauce, shredded chicken with black bean sauce, miso marinated black cod, grilled assorted mushrooms and lobster in butter garlic soya & basil. The chef is talented and creates awesome food. Mains menu start with five spice chicken, Indonesian lamb, kung pao chicken, choy sum with hot garlic sauce and shredded chicken in chilli oyster. Mains in fish & shellfish are worth looking into too. Rice and noodles are favourite part of every meal. When in doubt choose bowl or clay pot meal.
