Pictures of ‘Dharam phaaji’ as he’s fondly called all over the restaurant, caught my attention the moment I entered and I found ‘Garam Dharam’ to be a delicious mix of contemporary ambience echoed in the funky interiors replete with vibrant colours. The meals are served in customary style in tableware with traditional accents. Most dishes served have an equilibrium of flavour and texture, the exquisiteness of simplicity, and the unfussy sensuality with a good bar menu. The highlights are the Butter Chicken, rich and tangy, teamed with Mirchi Parantha. Also the Kalaunji Baingan in thick gravy; then there is the Kadhi Pakoda, designed to go beautifully with steaming rice. The Dharam Phaaji special Family Naan is interesting, there is also a Brain Curry delicacy, a rather delicious blend of lamb brains and spices, which takes some getting used to. Most of all the effortlessly spontaneous charming staff, with traditional feelings of hospitality and deeply instilled values, would make guests feel instantly at home on their visit. The desserts are nice but are a tad bit much on the sweet quotient.
