Who doesn’t mind grabbing a few hot chicken wings to go with your beer? We surely don’t! Only a vegetarian can pass on the idea of grilled meats any day. Barbeque fare is immensely satisfying. Some find joy in juicy cheesy burgers, others in double decker sandwiches with layers of charred roasted meat. Everybody has their favourites in grilled food. Ours is kebabs. Call us old-fashioned but we feel nothing can beat the beauty of a good melt-in-your-mouth kebab. Their spiciness bought out with a squeeze of lemon can marry any drink perfectly. Delhi may be crammed with delicious kebab serving restaurants, but one place deserves our loyalty any day. ‘Barbeque Nation’ is one of the most popular and most visible chain of restaurants in the city. You can be assured of finding at least one outpost in every trendy locality of Delhi.

And what would be more posh than Vasant Kunj area, which is an old yet trendy settlement of Delhi. The vicinity is home to some swanky malls and affluent residential societies as well as excellent restaurants like Barbeque Nation. Pin the outpost on the ground floor of Pyramid Building, just opposite Delhi Public School. The location is quite fantastic and is easy to access. Large groups of families and corporates drop in frequently, to enjoy the fare produced by the restaurant. This place is ideal to get your barbeque fix. Interiors are quite spacious and nicely furnished. You feel cosy and welcomed by the sight of faux brick walls forming separate sitting sections. Low heighted laid-back furniture is placed around the room, for you to relax in. They have given plenty of area to sit which is a blessing if you are accompanying a large group.

What makes Barbeque Nation so popular is two factors – live grills and pre-fix bill. Each table comes with a small live grill, where you can try your hand being a chef, by twisting and turning the appetizers to your liking. Another feather in their cap is ‘pre-fix bill’, which ensures you to eat as much as you want for a fixed price. Dig into various kebabs, tikkas, seekh kebabs and tandoori starters for your first course. For the second one however, you will be able to relish an array of curries, breads, biryani, noodles and gravies. It’s best to finish with assorted pastries or pudding. Barbeque Nation is medium pricey too.
