Known mostly for hosting brilliant gig nights, especially jazz, Windmill Craftworks is a boon to the residents of Whitefield, and to the rest of the city if they can make the drive. You must try their craft beers here, the golden ale especially. To eat, try the fried calamari and the chilli prawns – they are both delicious. Even the bangers ‘n’ mash (sausages and potato mash, served with an onion gravy) is a good choice. The burgers, however, are the most talked about, and the jumbo meltdown is recommended for the serious burger eater. If you like pork, the roast pork burger is a must-try.
