Located on a busy stretch bustling with restaurants, What’s in a Name is usually packed on weekends and in the evenings. One wall is dedicated to art featuring John Lennon, and music is the theme all across – the restrooms have blown up newspaper clippings of famous rock and rollers, decorating the walls. The menu, with its amusing Bollywood and local inspired names for dishes, has mains, pizzas, sandwiches, and a range of appetizers including beef and pork, and must-try items include the 'Mallu Beef Fry', 'Malay Dry Beef Rendang', and Chef’s signature 'Bailey’s Irish cream Prawns'. The 'Ajwain and Lemongrass flavoured Mahi Tikka with Pudina Lacchha' or the 'Bengali Macher Chop Crumb' fried served with Kasundi are great for fish lovers. The menu favours regional cuisines, so a Mangalore 'Ghee Roast with Calamari Rings' or a 'Pork Pandi Dry Fry with Kachumpuli' fit the bill well as does the 'Kosha Mangsho Dry Fry'. Spice fiends might like to try the 'Chilliest Cheese Toast with naga peppers'. Breakfast platters are available, with choices like all day and night breakfast, Bartender’s breakfast (which comes with a Kingfisher beer and a Gold Flakes cigarette!), Gunner’s breakfast and Bhaiya’s breakfast (aloo parathas and fixings, including lassi and cutting chai or filter kappi). They also boast a full bar menu, and if in a group and in the mood to drink, order the 'Bakchodi Baalti', which is served in a bucket, with any cocktail off the menu that you choose, and is enough for 3-4 to share. The drinks here are quite strong, and decently priced, and come with droll desi-style names like 'P.K Toit' and 'D.K Bose'. There is also a range of mocktails, smoothies, and juices to choose from.
