The Whiskey Bar is a lovely blue-lit space with elegant Victorian sofas that makes for a perfect space to sit back and relax with a drink. The menus are light engraved metal folders which have a great selection of cocktails and drinks and a finger foods menu to keep all these drinks good company. I nursed a 'Hot Toddy' on my visit, to begin with. And, then moved on to the 'Blackthorn' – a cocktail that brings together 'Irish Whiskey', 'Dry Vermouth', 'Absinthe' and 'Angostura Bitters'. It is best to take a while with this one. Of course, the place being named The Whiskey Bar, nursing a good whiskey is the best way to go here. 'Erachi Varthadu' – Pork in a masala of tamarind, poppy seeds, coriander and green chilli was up next. The 'French Fries' with or without cheese are an eternally wonderfully choice. While all restaurants are child-friendly, The Whisky bar does not allow children in the bar indoors. You may, however, sit by the poolside with the children and be served there. Friday night is jazz night and something to look forward to. Nothing like some good music to go with that whiskey now is there
