The Ritz-Carlton is one of Bengaluru’s loveliest and most sophisticated hotels so its coffee shop (all-day dining, or whatever they call it) is suitably elegant and discreet. There is an À la carte menu but they work on the assumption that everyone will want to try the buffet. This has its strengths and its weaknesses. The Oriental food is not great (odd for a hotel that runs such a good Chinese restaurant) but the sushi counter is terrific and there are great Indian and Western options, so you don’t have to try their take on Thai or Malaysian food.
