This chain of restaurants is where you head to on a working day, for an early dinner, on the days you do not feel like cooking or when the family wants a treat and you want to make everyone happy. Start off with the 'Sanewal Mushroom Tikka' – these stuffed button mushrooms are legendary up North, I am told. They are a nice pick. The 'Tandoori Kukkad' comes straight out of the tandoor, so do not let those fingers singe. The bright red masala is the kinds that stay. For the main course, you can stick with popular favourites like the 'Dal Makhani' with a very generous circle of Makkan on it. Add a 'Butter Chicken' and mop it all up with a 'Laccha Paratha' and you are set to head for desserts. If you want to take a break in between, then a 'Masala Chaas' would be a good idea. Desserts are the usual suspects with 'Gulab Jamun' and 'Rabri Jalebi' being the better picks. You can also opt for simpler icecreams if you want to go easy on the sweet factor. Oye! Amritsar also caters to the diner in a hurry and so you have substantial thalis in vegetarian and meat options giving you are a really hearty meal that will require you to put that meeting on hold post lunch. Or you can go in for the Jaldi platters, where the food plated up for one, again in vegetarian and meat options. Definitely, one of those child-friendly places so does keep this on your list for the kids.
