Close to the roof, this restaurant is enclosed in glass, bringing all the beauty of the outdoors in. Serving up decent grub and drinks at a reasonable price, it works well for Jayanagar. Once upon a Rooftop is the kind of place that Jayanagar needs more of. Placed in a relatively new building, its décor is that of an airy pub. An eclectic mix of wood, driftwood, metal and glass come together to create an ambience that has its charms both in the day and night time. The menu comprises of the usual suspects of soups, salads, starters, mains and desserts. What is nice is the munchies with your drinks section which give you everything from Penang Crispy Paneer to the classic Raja Special. For some heavy starters, the Locked and Loaded Spuds with 7-hour meat sauce is pleasant as are the Wild and Wacky Wings in Asian BBQ. The Pork Spare Ribs with Chipotle Sauce and mash hits some right notes and you will find the Chicken Shepherd’s Pie satisfying. The bar is a full-fledged and it was nice to see Bira actually printed on the menu. Besides the standard cocktails, they mix up a few of their own like the Cubbon Curry with PJ, OJ, Curry leaves and Blue Curacao and SS mix. The Trinity is a citrusy drink that you will enjoy. Desserts are those tempting ones that say Nutella, Banana and pizza in one breath or the Molten Lava cake.
