Lady Baga is an ode to Goa at its peak – the 1960s and 1970s. A supremely hippie vibe, from the psychedelic colors on the walls and cushions to the amusing signs punning on the hippie mantra “Free Love” (Free Love, Cheap Beer or Fish Love or All you need is Seafood) that reach to the menu as well, Lady Baga will make you want to slip off your shoes, sit back and just chill. Or if the DJ is spinning his tunes, you may want to start dancing! Spread across two floors, do not miss out on seeing the many signs and elements that are a shout-out to flower power, like the brightly painted hollowed out van. If sitting at a table is too mainstream, how about grabbing a hammock and settling in for the afternoon?! Aside from the Goan dishes, burgers and kinds of pasta are also on offer. In addition to the cocktails menu, there are a ton of mocktails under the moniker 'Like a Virgin', and teas as well as the new fun drink, freak shakes. And this being an ode to Goa, coconut water and beers – including “House Beer” Kings – by the six-pack also make an appearance. A must-try is the 'Fisherman’s Tonic cocktail', a spicy and potent mix, from the “Twist and Shout” section of the menu. Choices amongst the mains include 'Goan Prawn Curry', 'Camarao Da Caldinha', and 'Prawn Pulao'. There is sand below the tables and strategically scattered around the space, to add to that feeling of being on a Goan beach – which is fun but not the best for high heels, so keep footwear in mind when visiting. There is a boutique on one side of the space that has colourful and interesting knickknacks and beach-inspired clothing and accessories.
