Sometimes all you need is a space that gives you a cold beer, some spicy food to go with it and an open-air ambience that lets you take in the best of Bangalore. In a way, that is what Andhra Kafe does. It has the popular beers on offer and Geist, Bangalore’s very own, on tap now. If it is a working day, you can go the whole hog with an unlimited steamed rice thali. If you are being a little more restrained, then there are great "thalis in Chicken, Mutton and seafood". But be warned, spice levels are rather high on all the dishes. Perhaps that is why they have come up with their "Chaala Hot Combos" which include a trio of 'Buttermilk', 'Chilli Chicken' or 'Spicy Potato Fry', a 'Biryani', in meat and vegetarian. The Buttermilk will do a seriously good job of cooling you down, besides the beers. The vegetarian side dishes here are crowd pleasers – potato, gobi, paneer and mushroom based. In the meat and fish, you have the likes of 'Andhra Kebabs, 'Mutton Roast and Chops', 'Prawn Pepper Roast' and seer 'Fish Fries'. There is a range of gravies to pair with rice, rotis, pooris and even biryani rice. The 'Egg Curry', 'Fish Pulusu' and 'Kheema Curry' come highly recommended. The restaurant has homemade ice creams in some interesting flavours to wrap up a meal here.
