Mainland China is one of the best Chinese restaurants in Ahmedabad. Housed on the fourth floor of Gulmohar Mall, Mainland China gives you a feeling of actually being in China, what with its red and gold interiors and lamps all over. There are also statues of soldiers from the Ming Dynasty right at the entrance. The menu here has 2 full pages of no Onion, no Garlic options catering to local Jain Chinese food lovers. Also, there are an equal number of vegetarian options as there are non-vegetarian options. Do try their 'Lettuce Wraps with Sautéed Waterchestnuts', 'Corn and Mushrooms' as an appetizer. The seafood here is really sought after and more and more customers are choosing to order it. The 'Chicken and Lamb' options are also very good. However, you should caution the chef to go easy on the Soya Sauce. One working weekdays, Monday to Friday, the restaurant has a fixed executive lunch which is reasonably priced and gives you a 3-course meal where you can choose the soup and main course.
