China House has to be rated as the best Chinese restaurant in the city with their authentic, straight from China, chef. The place is done up in such authentic style that one feels transported to China. It has an open kitchen right in the middle of the restaurant so you can see the chefs cooking. The place is classy and quiet, very exclusive. The staff is courteous and their helpful suggestions ensure that you make the right choices while ordering from their menu. Now about the food - it is truly awesome. Dimsums, one can get everywhere but here the wraps are rolled to a translucent perfection such that you could see the stuffing inside. Tasty, juicy and beautiful folded, there is a whole lot of choices that China House offers both in vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. The soups are served in this deep blue bowls, authentic. The Lamb Shank in a Hot Pot with fragrant Coriander Buns are to die for. If you like Chicken then try their Kung Pao Chicken with Ginger, Chinese Vinegar, Cashews and Peanuts. If you are a vegetarian, do not despair, there is a page full of choices for you from Wok Fried Vegetable and Tofu in Black Pepper Sauce to Home-Styled Braised Eggplant with Bell Peppers in the main course. Good options in appetisers, soups and dim sum also. China House is a great experience so celebrate your special days here but beware it will surely pinch your pocket.
